When medical clearance may be needed:

Certain medical conditions, medications and treatments do not automatically prevent you from receiving permanent cosmetic tattooing. However, depending on your individual circumstances, medical clearance may be required before we proceed.Please contact us before booking if you are:Currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatmentCurrently receiving dialysisRecovering from a recent strokeUnder medical care for a significant heart conditionCurrently taking or have recently completed Accutane/isotretinoinTaking certain systemic steroid medicationsTaking medications or receiving medical treatments that may affect your skin, healing or ability to receive permanent cosmetic tattooingWhen medical clearance is requested, it is for your protection and ours. Your healthcare provider is familiar with your medical history, medications and current condition and can determine whether an elective permanent cosmetic procedure is appropriate for you.Never discontinue or alter prescribed medication in order to receive a permanent cosmetic service unless specifically instructed to do so by your prescribing healthcare provider.

This information helps us determine whether we can proceed as scheduled, whether additional healing time may be needed or whether medical clearance would be appropriate.

Question 4

If you have diabetes:

Having diabetes does not automatically disqualify you from permanent cosmetic tattooing.Some clients with diabetes may require additional healing time. When additional healing time is needed, your touch-up may be scheduled approximately 8–12 weeks after your initial procedure, rather than the standard 6–10 week timeframe.

For Lip Blush & Lip Neutralization:

If you have EVER had a cold sore or fever blister, you are NOT a candidate for Lip Blush or Lip Neutralization at Blush Browz.The tattooing process may trigger a cold-sore outbreak in individuals with a history of cold sores or fever blisters. For this reason, we do not perform permanent lip tattooing on clients who have EVER experienced a cold sore or fever blister—even if you have not had an outbreak in years.Please do not book a Lip Blush or Lip Neutralization appointment if you have ever experienced either condition.
